NOS Alive Music Festival Internship

Following Vilar de Mouros in 2025, staff returned to Portugal for NOS Alive 2026, one of Europe’s major music festivals, working with Audiomatrix alongside colleagues from the Stage Department.

Training overview
The internship followed the production from warehouse preparation through to the festival days and changeovers.
- Preparing, testing and organising audio equipment at the Audiomatrix warehouse
- Preparing and positioning microphones for a wide range of instruments, especially drums and percussion
- Stage cabling, splitters and stage boxes, and routing signal between FOH and the monitor console
- Checking signal flow through the full audio chain for FOH and monitor engineers
- Rapid stage turnovers between artists under tight time constraints

- Festival audio systems prepared and deployed
- Instrument microphone set-ups delivered for changeovers
- Live shows supported alongside an international production crew
Next steps
The team will bring festival changeover and microphone techniques into ROHM productions, and the internship programme continues as a regular part of department training.
