Instructor Christopher James ran a Digico and audio engineering training session for the Sound and Broadcast team, focused on live mixing for musical theatre.
Training overview
This session gave the team a full run through of the Digico SD10T console, starting with desk layout and moving into patching and programming a show file from scratch. Attendees learned how channels, groups and DCAs are organised on the desk, and how a show is structured so it can be operated confidently under pressure.
The second half moved into the mixing itself, working at the fast pace a musical theatre show demands. The group covered virtual soundcheck, and practised EQ, compressor and gate settings on live sources before pulling everything together in the final mix.

Next steps
With the desk and workflow now familiar, attendees are ready to operate live musical theatre mixes under supervision, building toward running a full show independently.
