How to Add a News Story (Instructors)
Course instructors can publish their own news stories directly, without going through the submission form. Follow these steps:
- Log in to the WordPress admin dashboard at curtainup.me/wp-admin.
- In the left-hand menu, go to Posts > Add New.
- Give your story a clear title and write the content in the main editor box.
- In the Categories panel on the right, tick your department (for example Sound, Lighting, or Stage). This is what makes your story appear correctly on the Latest News page and your department’s own news feed.
- In the Featured Image panel, add a photo for your story — this is the image shown on the news card.
- When you’re ready, click Publish.
